Year in Review and Plans and Projects for 2025
American Vision rarely asks for financial support. Donations go directly to projects while my salary comes from product sales. I can assure you that American Vision runs a very lean operation. I am the only employee. Any financial aid you can give at this time would be very much appreciated to keep American Vision operating at an optimal level.
You can donate monthly or with a one-time gift either online or by mail at this address:

The following is an update and what we have planned for 2025.
2024 turned out to be a great year for American Vision. The previous year was a little rough because attacks on me related to eschatology. But even that fizzled out as American Vision has not gotten any exegetical pushback once I showed how inconsistent the letter signers were. They couldn’t agree among themselves! Their fallback position was the phrase from the Nicene Creed that reads, “He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.” I asked what Bible verses were used to support the statement. We don’t know because we do not have the exegetical work of the men who formulated the creed. The language is found in Matthew 16:27-28, a point I make in some detail in chapter 11 of my book with Francis X. Gumerlock (originally published as The Early Church and the End of the World) New Testament Eschatology: What the Early Church Believed about Bible Prophecy. I’m still waiting for a response.
Last Days Madness went back to the printer twice this year. I’ve added some new material on 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 after further study. Like so much of Bible prophecy, there is a diversity of opinion. Dispensationalists have had the upper hand with their pre-trib rapture doctrine. Among amils and postmils, the Thessalonians’ passage has been interpreted as the Second Coming, an event very distinct from the five rapture positions.
AV published Joshua Pillows’ book The Objective Proof for Christianity: The Presuppositionalism of Cornelius Van Til and Greg L Bahnsen. It’s already in its second printing. Joshua has just completed an annotated version of the 1985 debate between Dr. Bahnsen and Gordon Stein for the 40th anniversary of the debate titled The Great Debate: Does God Exist?: Reading and Analysis of the Bahnsen-Stein Debate.
The debate has been transcribed with comments and quotations from Dr. Bahnsen’s other writings in addition to some of the correspondence that Dr. Bahnsen had with Dr. Stein after the debate. Some of this material has never been published. The book will also include the 20-year retrospective of the debate that was published in Pen Point magazine as well as two articles by Dr. Bahnsen on “The Antithesis.”
The second volume of The Hope of Israel and the Nations was published. (Both volumes in this series can be purchased together here.) This was a monumental task that required the transcription of 12 one-hour podcasts and meticulous editing by Kim Burgess as well as added material to round out the topic, more than 400 pages. Kim and I did a podcast on 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 that includes an expanded 27-page article to accompany the podcast. Our plan is to do a series of podcasts on 1 Corinthians 15 and publish them as a book and include the material on 1 Thessalonians 4.
I’m still doing three podcasts each week and two articles. I’ve turned the Friday podcast into a discussion on eschatology. It’s called Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope. In addition, I do some one-minute reels on various topics that have been very successful with tens of thousands of plays. It’s been a huge success.
My book Ten Popular Prophecy Myths has been reprinted with some new material added. Prophecy Wars is at the printer. This is a major update with eight new chapters. There’s so much bad prophetic speculation that’s crippling sound Bible study. It seems that millions of Christians can’t get enough of the end of the world.
We’ve republished Dr. Gary North’s book Victim’s Rights: The Biblical View of Civil Justice. It is also at the printer. God’s law is not very well thought of today. We hear, “We’re under grace, not law!” This sounds legitimate until someone steals, rapes, and murders and civil judges and governors dispense unequal “justice.” God’s law extends beyond the personal. It’s meant to restrain the power structures that often prevail in society. Who or what determines what’s just?
The debate continues over the particulars of Christian Reconstruction. In 1991, Dr. Gary North and I wrote Christian Reconstruction: What It Is. What It Isn’t. After looking at the topics covered in the table of contents, I realized what we dealt with in 1991 is just as pertinent today, maybe even more so. It’s in the process of being reprinted.
Research on biblical subjects has been made easier because of the internet. I’ve come across numerous books that have not seen the light of day for hundreds of days. Nehemiah Nisbett’s works are a good example. We published two of his important works in 2023. Samuel Lee’s 1859 book Eschatology, Or, The Scripture Doctrine of the Coming of the Lord, the Judgment, and the Resurrection is ready for the printer. The following is from the Preface:
Early in his ministry, the writer attempted to gain some definite views on the subject presented in this volume. He consulted authors, and especially commentators. The effect was “confusion worse confounded.” He then, as the only hope, went directly and alone to the volume of Inspiration, and attempted to study the Scriptures scripturally, — to make the Bible its own interpreter. The result is the opinions expressed in the following pages.
Lee covers nearly every eschatology passage in the New Testament. It makes for fascinating reading.
Ned B. Stonehouse (1902-1962) was a well-respected New Testament scholar. He joined J. Gresham Machen in the founding of Westminster Theological Seminary in 1929, where he worked for over thirty years. One of the most difficult publications to locate is his dissertation The Apocalypse in the Ancient Church: A Study in the History of the New Testament Canon (1929). It’s almost impossible to find. I had my autographed copy scanned. AV is preparing it for publication.
We have many other works that we would like to get on the schedule. There are three limitations: 1) Time. 2) Needed help. 3) Finances. Number 3 would help with Number 2. Please consider partnering with us in your end-of-year and all-through-the-year giving. We will put it to good work.
I want to thank all of you who have generously donated to American Vision, purchased products, prayed, and sent encouraging emails. We cherish all of it and don’t take it for granted.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! God bless you and your families,
Gary DeMar
