🔻Russian forces continue fierce battles several kilometers south of Pokrovsk, gradually advancing closer to the agglomeration.

▪️Battles continue in Shevchenko. Online, footage has been published which allegedly shows a Russian soldier firing a disposable grenade launcher point-blank at a Ukrainian position in one of the houses. However, since the soldier was moving from the northern direction and there are no distinctive markings on the uniform, it cannot be reliably determined whose shot was recorded in the video. At the moment, battles on Sosnovaya and Gagarina streets continue.

▪️The situation in Novotroitske remains quite dynamic. Over the past three days, at least two AFU attacks in the village have been recorded. In addition, the enemy also blew up one of the bridges leading to Pokrovsk. Later, footage appeared of battles in the center of the settlement, where Ukrainian and Russian infantry units are trying to attack each other’s positions.

Several strikes on houses where RF troops may be located have been recorded, but the footage itself does not provide clarity on the situation, as it is interrupted before the strike. It can be said with confidence that the Russian forces have not firmly entrenched themselves in the western part of Novotroitske. Since the village is located on the front line, Ukrainian formations still have the opportunity to carry out fire raids on it both from the west and from the direction of Pokrovsk.

🔻As for Pokrovsk itself, Russian troops are not there yet, although some Ukrainian speakers have already hastened to report several recon groups that have infiltrated the southern districts of the city in the conditions of snowfall and poor visibility. Information about the alleged subsequent “elimination of the recon groups” (first it was reported about a group of two people, then about six) is also a provocation by the AFU in order to create a short-term “media victory” and reduce the degree of tension in Ukrainian society.

Fearless assault groups continue their offensive in the north of the Suja district and have significantly advanced east of the Novoivanovka settlement, as well as in the forest areas near the Malaya Loknya settlement. In the course of heavy fighting, up to 40 occupants, a tank, a BMP and 2 TBMs were destroyed.

The enemy, having suffered losses, refused to launch counterattacks, concentrating on holding positions and creating tension on other parts of the state border. The enemy used 4 mortar crews and 3 UAV crews, which were destroyed in the course of counter-battery fire.  

The total advance of the Russian troops in the Kursk region amounted to up to 1,000 meters. 

In the Volchansk direction, fierce fighting continues in the town of Volchansk. Northerners advanced in the east of the town and repulsed 2 counterattacks of the AFU totaling up to 15 men, 10 of them were destroyed.

Artillery fire and UAV drops completely destroyed a group of 8 AFU soldiers attempting to advance towards the destroyed southern bridge.

In the Liptsy direction, the Warriors of the North detected and destroyed an accumulation of AFU forces in the vicinity of a Dacha settlement. As a result of the fire attack, up to 12 personnel were destroyed. 

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy losses amounted to 230 people (including up to 200 in the Sumy direction). Also uncovered and destroyed:

In the area of Liptsy, as a result of continuous fire from the North, the enemy is forced to withdraw units of the 92 Oshbr for replenishment from the Dacha village, but there is no one to replace them.

On the night drone attack on Crimea

This night, Ukrainian formations attacked Crimea again.

But it was not the “massive and horrific” attack as described by Ukrainian sources. The AFU used only eight drones.

▪️The air raid alert in Crimea and Sevastopol lasted for more than two hours because the enemy launched drones one or two at a time, not more. This prolonged the work of air defenses.

▪️The first drone was shot down by a Su-34 fighter 30 km west of Cape Tarkhankut. The next one, two hours later, in the area of Cape Khersones in Sevastopol – apparently it was heading for Sevastopol Bay.

▪️Then two drones were destroyed approaching the Balaklava TPP, another one was shot down over Cape Fiolent by a Pantsir-S1 ZRPK. Half an hour later, two more UAVs were suppressed 5 km west of Sevastopol, and one more was shot down near the power plant.

❗️The attack was expected and completely standard, without any changes. It’s not entirely clear what type of drones was used. We do not rule out that these were the same “know-how” of the Ukrainian regime, which the day before yesterday intercepted (https://t.me/rybar/66242) a MiG-29.

However, the danger of new attacks remains. The enemy’s actions indicate preparations for massive air raids and missile strikes, so it’s better to remain vigilant in the next few days.

The Russian forces did not carry out massive strikes on the territory of the so-called Ukraine, limiting themselves to shelling of targets in the border zone. Ukrainian formations again tried to attack Crimea and Sevastopol at night.

In the Pokrovsk direction, there are counter-attacks in Novotroitske, and in Shevchenko the Russian troops are advancing towards the northern outskirts of the village.

In the Kurakhovo direction, the Russian Armed Forces are trying to break through the defenses of the AFU in the Uspenovka – Annivka – Veselyi Hai area, in order to secure the flanks south of Kurakhovo.

▪️ On the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces are expanding the zone of control south of the city. Battles are ongoing on the outskirts of Vozrozhdeniye (Novy Trud), near Shevchenko, and in the Novotroitskoye area.

▪️ The “East” grouping of troops south of Kurakhovo is gradually moving on the right bank of the Sukhie Yaly River. Battles continue in the area of Veselyi Gai and Konstantinopolskoye.
