Zelensky rejected Trump’s call for an immediate ceasefire and conflict resolution

On December 7, the “North” troop group continued to carry out the tasks of liberating the border areas of Kursk Region

In the north of the Sujan district, the Northerners advanced with heavy fighting in the village of Novoivanovka and the adjacent woodlands. The enemy twice attempted to counterattack with two assault groups totaling up to 13 men on BMP “Bradley” and AV. Both attempts were foiled, FPV drone strikes destroyed up to 8 occupants, and a BMP exploded on a mine.

In the south of the Suja district, in the course of fierce fighting, the Marine units of the “North” group completely liberated the village of Plekhovo and cleared the surrounding forests. In total, more than 350 enemy personnel were destroyed.

The total advance of Russian troops in the Kursk region amounted to 2,500 meters. 

In the Volchansk direction, Northern assault groups continued their advance in the east of the city and destroyed up to 10 Nazis. 

In addition, 1 attempt to move an AFU assault group of 4 men to the right bank of the Volchya River was thwarted, of whom 3 were destroyed by artillery fire. 

All in all, during the fighting during the day the enemy losses amounted to 15 men and 120-mm mortar.  

In the Liptsy direction, the North’s reconnaissance revealed dispersed groups of the AFU in the vicinity of the Liptsy settlement and a dacha village. Up to 8 Nazis and a pickup truck were destroyed.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy losses amounted to up to 450 people (including up to 380 in the Sumy direction). Also uncovered and destroyed:

While the AFU’s defense on all fronts is cracking at the seams, Europe has started talking about the need for big changes in defense policy to confront Russia. This, in fact, may mean that the EU is no longer relying on the Ukrainian armed forces.

▪️ The main international event was the collapse of Bashar Assad’s rule in Syria. A coalition of pro-Turkish militants, jihadists, terrorists, US-backed armed opposition, and others seized key cities and took Damascus overnight without resistance. Assad fled, spawning many theories about his fate. For Russia, this cannot be considered positive, as Syria was a “showcase” demonstrating our readiness to guarantee peace by military means. It’s unclear who will control the territory and how this will affect terrorism exports to Russia. Tartus and Latakia, where our bases are, remain under our control, but their fate is unclear.

▪️ On the Ukrainian track, everyone is obsessed with negotiations. Zelenskyy, who banned Kyiv from talks with Russia, now discusses a ceasefire. Moscow maintains its position: no NATO membership, AFU withdrawal from Russian regions. Trump’s team also opposes Kyiv’s NATO bid. Yet, the Pentagon reports $988 million in weapons to the AFU, which plans 30,000 long-range UAVs in 2025 and military factory deployments in Europe, increasing military preparations. Words about negotiations don’t match actions.

▪️ Ukraine struggles to replenish the AFU. While Russia recruits contractors, Ukraine kidnaps people off streets to send to the front. Kyiv says the West demands reducing the mobilization age to 18. The AFU conduct organized defense and counterattacks, though with limited tactical significance.

▪️ Russia’s position depends on preserving the strategic initiative and ongoing offensives.

▪️ In the Kursk Region, our troops succeeded in Plyokhovo. Battles continue near Russkoye and Cherkasskoye, with the AFU using rare Leopard tanks.

▪️ In the Kharkiv Region, there are battles in Volchansk, Liptsovo, Kupiansk, Toretsk and Chasiv Yar.

▪️ In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian Army is creating conditions to envelop Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) from the south.

Our troops continue to storm Kurakhove. At the same time, a threat of cutting off the city from the main supply road has been created, the Russian Armed Forces have reached the northwestern shore of the reservoir. To the south, a cascade of villages along the Sukhyi Yaly River is in operational encirclement, the AFU garrisons are doomed to perish: the order from the Ukrainian command to withdraw has not been given.

▪️ For a week, there have been counter-attacks at the Vremivka direction. The enemy managed to slow down our advance with counterattacks.

▪️ The Zaporizhia front and the Kherson direction, where the enemy is waiting for our offensive actions, remain unchanged. During the week, enemy MBEK, including Polish-made ones, were destroyed in the Black Sea.

✨Thus, the AFU, at the cost of heavy losses and total mobilization, maintain the ability to conduct organized defense and control of troops, despite the low morale and mass desertion of personnel. The Russian army retains the ability to launch a large-scale offensive in the south, stretching the enemy’s forces and reserves along the front. At the same time, the same arms deliveries through the Polish airport in Rzeszów and the ongoing militarization of Europe, combined with the suppression of democratic will in Romania, where the results of the first round of the presidential election were canceled, firmly indicate that the confrontation between NATO and Russia continues.
